Extreme MD shares the company’s experiences at Chamber meeting
Friday 18 June 2010
Extreme MD Antony Prince delved into the company’s past to share some insights on starting and growing a business at a meeting of the Harrogate Chamber this week.
His talk, titled ‘Extreme Creations: Growing up in the Noughties,’ looked at the business’ journey from Antony’s bedroom to a 10-strong team over the past nine years. And while he was describing Extreme’s birth to the group, Antony was also anxiously waiting for one of his own, with his second child due any day now.
During the presentation Antony looked at how being an early adopter of emerging technologies, such as Skype, helped the company to grow in its early stages, when it had no office and staff worked from home.
He also discussed how the company overcame a general mistrust of the internet at the start of the decade, and how Extreme has developed and maintained a culture which has meant no one has ever left the company.
